  - 깨어 있는 상태에서 자기 자신이나 사물에 대하여 인식하는 작용.

 

의식적

  - 어떤 대상에 대하여 올바르고 제대로 된 인식이나 판단을 가지고 일부러 하는 것

 

의사 표시

  - 어떤 일에 대해 마음속에 품고 있는 생각을 밖으로 드러내는 일

늘 웃는 얼굴이라는 말을 듣지만

웃음기가 사라지는 걸 느끼는 순간이 있었다. 

I am often told that I always smile, There was a time when I felf my smile was gone.

People say I always smile, There were moments when I sensed my smile fading.

I am frequently told that I wear a constant smile, There were instances what I  became aware that my smile had vanished.

웃음이 나지 않았고, 그것이 의식되었고, 의식적으로 웃지 않았다.

I didn't smile, I noticed it, and I didn't smile on purpose.

I couldn't bring myself to smile, I noticed it, and I chose not to smile on purpose.

I found myself unable to smile; I became conscious of it, and I deliberately withheld my smile.

The reason I chose not to smile was that I wanted to express myself.

My deliberate refusal to smile was an intentional signal.

'왜? 굳이? 이걸 지금 해야 한다고?'하는 생각이 들었고, 

I thought 'Why? Do I really have to do this now?'

The thought came to me: 'Why? Is this really necessary right now?'

A question arose in mind: 'Why? Must I really do this at this very moment?'

해야해? Do i have to ?, Is this nessessay ? Must I do this?
굳이 really
지금 now, right now, at this very moment

 

그 생각을 숨기긴 커녕, 나타낸 것이다.

I didn't hide the thought, I showed it.

Instead of hiding that thought, I let it show.

Far from concealing that thought, I allowed it to surface.

대신에 Instead of,
은 커녕 Far from
숨기긴 커녕 didn't hide, Instead of hiding, Far from concealing
나타냈다 showed it, let it show, allowed it to surface
